TYPES OF GARMENTS

According to the Torah, a garment that is made of flax and wool must have Tzitzis. Some opinions say that a garment made of other materials, such as cotton, also need Tzitzis. It is best to make the garment from wool as it is written in the Torah. Garments made of male rams' wool should also have Tzitzis, according to Rabbinical decree. Most Poskim consider a Rabbinical decree to be as important as a commandment from the Torah itself.
