"Rebbe would honor the wealthy.
Rabbi Akiva would honor the wealthy."
(Eruvin 86A) It is written in Tehillim 61:8,
"May he sit before Hashem forever; prepare
"love" and "truth" that they
may take care of him." The Gemorah explains
this verse. Hashem sits on His throne and is
pleased with the world, when there is kindness
and plenty of food for the poor. The rich person
who does kindness and is truthful in the way he
acts with others, is deserving of honor.
