Even criticsm should be spoken gently.

" all your words..."Even in a time when you have to speak strongly, for example if you have to give someone "mussar", you should try your hardest to speak in a gentle voice. As it is written: The words of wise men are listened to, when they are spoken gently. When words are spoken in a soft way - the listener gets a good feeling . This certainly fulfills the Mitzvah of doing kindliness with others.
Chazal say that the word "v'awhavtaw"... teaches us , that it is a Mitzvah to cause others to "love" Hashem. One of the ways to do this , is when a person who learns Torah , speaks gently to people . This causes people to say : How lucky a person is to learn Torah... Look at how pleasant his ways are.
