DON'T BE A SHOW-OFF

This man is a "big shot". He thinks others are beneath him and he "steps all over them". A conceited person considers himself better than others. Naturally, this causes him to look down on other people. One thing leads to another, and in no time, he's making fun of other people and speaking Loshon Hora.
When a show-off sees someone else being honored, he becomes jealous and begins to hate the other person. "That should be me!" he thinks. "This will take away from my popularity!" He starts speaking badly of the other person and puts him down so others will stop honoring him.
So more and more Loshon Hora is spoken just so the show-off can prove that he is better than anyone else.
