the world depends on three things
Rabban Shimon ben Gamiel says: (after the world was created) "The world continues because of three things: justice, truth, and peace, as it says, "Make sure that there is truth, justice and peace in your gates."

What holds the world together? What keeps it from being destroyed? During the generation of Noah people would see something they wanted and take it away from the person it belonged to. Because they were stealing and didn't care about other people, Hashem brought the flood to destroy the world. When we are sure to be fair as the Torah teaches us, and tell the truth, we will be able to live together in peace. The world will continue.
